ABOUT RSA
Rye Soccer Association (RSA) is a volunteer not-for-profit organization directed at youth soccer development and competitive play for the Seacoast of New Hampshire area.

Our mission is to provide young players the opportunity to transition from recreational to competitive soccer by fostering soccer skill and team play.

Our goal is to develop players to the level of High School caliber.

RSA commonly addressed as Travel Soccer. RSA teams go by the name "Rye Revolution"
Rye Soccer Association includes ages 8 - 13 and is a member of the Northern New England Soccer League.

RSA travels throughout New Hampshire for Fall Outdoor Soccer and Winter Futsal Programs.

We offer Summer Free-play, where kids come to play games. The coaches help formulate teams and referee, but do not coach. The intent is give kids time to play, have fun and improve their soccer IQ.

Pre-season training and skills camps. RSA offers pre-season soccer mini-camps to help kids get in shape, prepare their fitness and hone their skills for the Fall Season.
OUR PROGRAM
Ages 8-14
Rye Soccer Association is part of the Northern New England Soccer League (NNESL). Teams are grouped by Birth Year. Depending on the number of players available for a team, players may be asked to play up and/or combined in a coed team.
Skill Level
Rye Soccer Association does evaluate players at the beginning of the season. If they are deemed not ready by the coaches, we will recommend that the player move back to recreation soccer and refund their registration fees.
Development
Rye Soccer Association has built a soccer development program for its participants. The program is designed to develop players throughout the summer and preseason to a competitive level. We strive to give youth soccer players key fundamentals of soccer on which they can build for years to come.
Competitive Soccer
The Rye Soccer Association participates in competitive soccer.
Competitive Soccer is differentiated from Recreational Soccer in that competitive teams play other teams within a league (NHSL).
Teams have a number of home games and travel to other towns to play, whereas Rye Recreation teams play intra-Rye teams, and do not travel.
Competitive also denotes that players are trained and developed as a team to compete. Scores, wins and losses, and penalties are recorded in the league and standings tracked.

Players are not guaranteed playing time. It is at the discretion of the coaches the amount of time and the positions of the players.

Upon joining Rye Soccer Association, players commit to their development and put their best effort forward. Respect for their coaches, peers, and opponents is expected and reason for dismissal, if a player does not demonstrate the appropriate behavior. Parents will be notified of the first incident. The league may suspend a player for the first incident or dismiss the player. A subsequent incident will be an immediate dismissal. No refund will be issued on behavioral issues.

Attendance to practices and games is expected. If a player is unable to attend practices or games, the coaches need to be notified in advance. It is the coaches discretion if a player is excused from practice or games. By NNESL league rules, players are not allowed to play in the same league for two clubs. Players may be automatically dismissed if they violate league rules and a $500 fine will be passed on to the parent or guardian.
Ages 10 and above have playoffs at the end of the season and are considered based on their win/loss record.

Rye Soccer and the Referee(s) reserves the right to expel a parent or player including spectators at events, if their behavior or language is threatening or unbecoming. If necessary, the police will be notified.

In general, parents and their players maybe removed from the Rye Soccer Association at the discretion of the President, and/or Board of Directors.
Futsal
RSA has been increasing the number of teams for the Futsal sessions, and the value and results have shown in the players abilities. Futsal is sanctioned by FIFA (Indoor Soccer is not).

COMPETITIVE SOCCER
By Age
The Rye Soccer Association follows US Youth Soccer which organizes the players age (birth year).

-
Teams being fielded for 2019 (Ages 8 - 12)
-
Players may play up, but may not play down in age.
-
For the safety and development of the players, a coach may recommend that a player play Rye Recreational Soccer for further development.
-
If a player plays up, and the coaches feels there is the potential for safety and development issues, they may recommend that the player play at their age.
-
A player may be advised to play up based on evaluation by their coach, but can only do so with a second recommendation from an objective RSA coach from a different age group, potentially the coach from the age group above.
